Amethyst1Amethyst is a hexagonal crystal. The word amethyst comes from the Greek word amethystos, which means “not drunken”. In antiquity, Amethyst was thought to prevent intoxication. Medieval European soldiers often wore Amethyst for its healing properties.

Amethyst was once considered a precious gemstone like Emerald and Ruby, but since the discovery of enormous Amethyst deposits, the stone has become less expensive and more available.

Amethyst does indeed carry the benefits of healing. Its healing properties extend not only to the physical but mental and emotional. It inspires calm and presents an opportunity to heal in peace and tranquility.
